discWelder STEEL

discWelder BRONZE Main Window

discWelder STEEL — the easy, fast, and inexpensive way to produce pro grade DVD-Audio discs from your high resolution audio files.

With discWelder STEEL, you can import all Linear PCM (LPCM) formats supported in the DVD-A specification. These include non–encoded or uncompressed “surround” files, in either WAV or AIFF format:

• up to 6 channels of 24 bit, 48 kHz audio

• two channels of 24-bit, up to 192 kHz audio

Surround and stereo tracks may be used on the same disc, and a discWelder-created disc will play on any DVD-A player that supports DVD-R/RW.

discWelder STEEL also includes several advanced features, to really jazz up your titles…The exclusive AutoMirror feature duplicates the content in the audio zone to the video zone. This makes a “universal” disc that works on any player, using either high res PCM or AC-3 encoded audio.

Add a slide show, such as talent stills or lyric sheets, to visually augment the performance. The dual layer feature enables the presentation of seamless, long duration, high data rate programs not possible with a single layer disc. discWelder STEEL’s Downmix feature allows you to control the stereo playback when the customer only has stereo, not surround, equipment.

As icing on the cake, discWelder STEEL converts Direct Stream Digital (DSD) into high resolution linear PCM for inclusion in your title. This means you can leverage the low cost, high quality of DSD decks from Tascam and Korg as master recorders for your DVD titles.
